Blog Design: Help Me Choose

At long last on this special Freaky Friday, I'm unavailing the three header options for the new blog design and I need your help deciding which is right for the blog.

Number 1
To see it in the site, click here.

Number 2
To see it in the site, click here.

Number 3
To see it in the site, click here.
As you can see I also have a new tag line AND I'll be moving into new genres too: NA Contemporary Romance. So, please help me choose. Consider does the header fit for multiple genres? Which do you like best? And which do you think would work best for me, if any? Thank you!

Please vote and leave comments too. :)

Today, you can also find, Yelena and I at Brenda Corey Dunne's blog for an interview about co-writing. Check it out here. Don't forget the more blogs you visit in the events for A TOUCH OF DARKNESS, the more chances you have to win a copy and a $10 gift card!

  1. Number one, definitely! It says both spooky and romance to me. And if you're doing more NA, I recommend joining the Facebook group "New Adult Authors Unite!" A wealth of information!

    1. My only other comment would be, no matter which design you choose, please don't have your text white on black. I cannot read those (very unfriendly to learning disabilities and the visually impaired) and eventually just stop going to those sites. I want to keep reading yours!

    2. Awesome! Will definitely check out the NA author group and agree completely about white on black. I don't like it either and it's so hard to read. My specialty area at working is in learning disabilities, so I'm particularly cognizant of it.

  2. Okay, I love number one, but then I got to thinking about what you said on cross grenre writing and number two seemed like the more rational choice.

Number three looks like you're sitting on the title of Lost, lol.

But yes, I love number one, and the way it settles into the test theme.

    Gorgeous!

  3. Definitely voting for #1 as well... LOVE the "burning" moon design!!! The only suggestion I can make is the font used for your name. I really like the font, but the "T" in Tina looks similar to a "C" (don't want anyone to confuse your name).

As far as #2 and #3 go, the image of the girl sitting (with her legs crossed at her ankles) on the text is very similar to the "Bewitched" cartoon at the beginning of the TV show circa late 1960s/early 1970s. (here is a link to the image- http://www.themarysue.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/bewitched-cartoon-opening.jpg )

Since your new tag line is "Not Your Mother's Author", you may want to tweak the sitting position of the girl if you go with #2 or #3. Older readers may mistakenly draw the conclusion that you're from their era.

  4. One has the empty space that makes it really pop, so it doesn't look crowded.

  5. Awesome feedback! Thanks so much all and feel free to keep it coming. :)

  6. I like two, because it doesn't lean toward a specific genre, and you and your corgi stand out.

  7. Thanks again! Fixed the T that looked like a C in #1. :)

  8. I like all three of them, but I think the first one works the best. I'm a fan of subtlety and the other two shout too much for my taste. Love the avatars, too. :)
