Freaky Friday: Stir of Echoes

STIR OF ECHOES is one of those horror films I always think I've seen, but realize later it's still in the To Be Watched pile. I swear, I've actually said to people, "Oh yeah, I've seen that one. Kevin Bacon, right?" Then, I cannot tell you anything else about the movie, because...whoops, I haven't seen it still! Luckily, our Fearless Blogger has and she's written a review just for us.
"So, I don’t want to bore everyone with vampire movie after vampire movie. Seriously, I could probably write a review on a vampire for each week for an entire year. Yes, I’m that much of a dork. Today I thought, why not dig into a creepy ghost story. In particular, Stir of Echoes (1999).
If you haven’t seen this one add it to your queue. Seriously. - Danielle
Kevin Bacon’s character, Tom, begins seeing a ghost after his sister-in-law hypnotizes him. Various bump in the night things happen around the house. Each one amps up the suspense. Spoiler: Must applaud the filmmakers for using The Rolling Stones “Fade to Black” as a plot point. Great song. Great meaning.
I love this Special Edition cover - Tina
This is probably the first of the ghost horror films that really delve into the sad side of the ghost. I’m completely serious that when you find out her story, it will break your heart.

Be prepared to see a movie that both chills you and disgusts you--not because of gore, but because of the horrors that human beings are capable of.

Rating: A"

I knew I needed to watch this one! Shoot. What do you all think of Stir of Echoes? How do you like ghost stories?
