Lego + Lord of the Rings = MAGIC!

Excuse me while I flail around like a little kid for the next five minutes. Okay...I think I'm done. Nope, maybe not. But...

LEGO and LORD OF THE RINGS in a video game! SQUEE!!!!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Lego Star Wars video games. The Hubs and I played these like two World of War craft junkies on a caffeine and chocolate bender. I don't think we walked away from the TV for the entire *cough* hours until we defeated the evil Empire. R2D2 is the droid! So much fun.
Then, we tried Lego Harry Potter. Neither of us was as thrilled with that game play. Little too complicated with all the spells and the jumping. Oy, the jumping! We so needed the Force. Then Lego Batman came along,, little better, but not great yet. But, Lord of the Rings? Oh heck, yes!
"You Shall Not Pass" - Gandalf
It doesn't come out until the Fall. *pouts* But to keep you entertained until then, here's a look at the trailer from Lego:

How do you like the Lego games? Ever played? If so, which one is your favorite? If not, which one would you try?

  1. The Star Wars ones were definitely my favourite. I also enjoyed the Indiana Jones one and was thoroughly disappointed with Harry Potter. As you said, way too complicated and most of the time I didn't know where I was going. I wish I never paid money for it! I'd like to play LOTR one but I'd not pay full price for it.

  2. My son loves Lego Star Wars. I wonder what he'll think of this one...I'm sure he'll love it as well.

  3. I love the Lego games. I've beaten the Star Wars 1 & 2, Indiana Jones 1, and Batman (except for the stupid Wayne Manor thing at the end). I still need to finish Indy 2. We also have Potter 1 and Star Wars 3, but I haven't gotten to them, yet.

  4. Ok, so I haven't played any of the Lego Star Wars, Harry Potter or Batman...but I have played the Lego Guitar Hero. Now that was definitely fun. I could barely play because I couldn't keep my eyes off the cute, little Lego avatars. :)

  5. I haven't tried any of the Lego games, but Harry Potter and Star Wars both sound cool. Thanks for sharing news about Lego Star Wars!

I'm looking for some ninja writers to interview for my Ninja spotlight series. If you're interested, go to to find out more!

  6. I bought the star wars legos for my 5 year old and I might have enjoyed them even more than he did. *laughs* I am so there when the LOTR lego game comes out. Thanks for giving me a heads up!
