Random Acts Of Kindness BLITZ

A smile. An encouraging word. A thoughtful gesture. Each day people interact with us, help, and make our day a bit brighter and full. This is especially true in the Writing Community

Take a second to think about writers you know, like the critique partner who works with you to improve your manuscript. The writing friend who listens, supports and keeps you strong when times are tough. The author who generously offers council, advice and inspiration when asked.

So many people take the time to make us feel special, don't they? They comment on our blogs, re-tweet our posts, chat with us on forums and wish us Happy Birthday on Facebook.

Kindness is POWERFUL. Even the smallest gesture can fuel a person and keep them going.

To commemorate the release of their book The Emotion Thesaurus, Becca and Angela at The Bookshelf Muse are hosting a TITANIC Random Act Of Kindness BLITZ. And because I think KINDNESS is contagious, I'm participating too!

First a big THANK YOU to Melinda Collins at Muse, Rant, Rave for blitzing me. When I started blogging last year, Melinda was one of the first writers I met in the blog-o-sphere. She is beyond kind and gracious. She is always there with a supportive word or a helping hand. When I post a blog note on Twitter, she is often the first to RT. I cannot count the amount of times, I've come to her blog seeking advice or guidance from her Friday links of the week. I am so thankful for her genuine kindness and absolutely must Blitz her back! Melinda, I'd love to beta read whenever you'd like, but since you've had an especially tough week, I'd like to get you a little gift as well. So, pick out a book or ebook from your favorite online store and I'll send it your way!

Next, I'd be remiss if I didn't Blitz my awesome beta readers: LM Preston, Danielle DeVor, and Norma Jean Johnson. These ladies are the epitome of awesome. I'd like to offer each of you a copy of the Emotion Thesaurus. This has been a huge asset for me in my writing and I hope you will find it a valuable tool. Please let me know if you'd like it as a kindle, epub or PDF format.

How about you? Will you join the RAOK Blitz and pass on kindness today?

  1. Tina,
Yay, I love the RAOK Blitz this week! Crit partners, fellow writers, and beta readers are probably the MOST valuable people a writer can have. Not only are they supportive, but help us in ways they don't even know.

Great post! I RAOK'd my crit group (LOL).
